(Personal note from Bob T:  I have been blessed to call Bob Beaudine one of my best friends (or as Bob B would say “My WHO”) for 15 years!)

Almost on a daily basis I will get a call from one of my “WHO” is overwhelmed with a personal challenge.  The challenge can be a personal health challenge, a health challenge of a close family member or friend, the loss of a job, a broken relationship, a business deal gone south, etc. It is not a minor inconvenience – like the traffic was really horrendous this morning.  It is not a little disappointment like, my favorite sports team lost!   These are the kind of life circumstances that have you feeling absolutely crushed, devastated and overwhelmed.

Maybe you or a close friend or one of your family members is experiencing this kind of challenge today – You are feeling hopeless!

If you or they called me today, here are the three questions that I would ask you:

  1. Does God know your situation?
  2. Is he OK with it?
  3. Does he have a good plan for you?

Take a look at these two simple algebraic formulas:

  • Devastating Circumstance + Overwhelming Circumstance = Hopelessness
  • Devastating Circumstance + Overwhelming Circumstance + GOD = Hope

Whenever you are feeling absolutely overwhelmed it is because you have forgotten God.

With God there is hope!

In Jeremiah 29:11, he said he had a good plan for you, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

What has he already told you on the matter – either in his Word – or said to you personally?  You have  personal God.  And if you have not already heard his voice, you will – either through his Word or the word he will speak to you personally.

Remember:  He has never not done what he said he would do!
