    In answer to the question posed here, I would say that the USA and Canada might have become one country instead of two. If not that, we would be certainly under British rule with our own ‘spin’ on self-governing, maybe socialistic but maybe not. In any case the ‘taxation without representation’ problem would have been better addressed. None of these seem like such bad outcomes to me; certainly better than a revolutionary war. Yes, listening would have played a positive role which we will never be able to go back and find out.

    1. Thanks Malcolm for your thoughtful response. It is interesting how a different leadership style by King George III may have prevented the whole revolution.
