29 AFTER-SCHOOL QUESTIONS FOR YOUR KIDS/GRANDKIDS

Guest Post by William Blake

Ever picked up a child or grandchild after school?

What do you talk about on the way home?

Most of us would probably begin with, “How was school today?”

One writer, Sara Goldstein, prepared an article entitled, Questions to Ask your Kid Instead of “How Was Your Day”? A number of those questions are included in the list which follows. After some friends on Facebook were shown these questions, they, in turn, suggested even more topics a parent (or grandparent) might raise with a child at the end of a given day at school.

  1. What was the funniest thing that happened today?
  2. What games did you play at recess (or free time)?
  3. What new fact did you learn today that you didn’t know yesterday?
  4. Who brought the best food for lunch today? What was it?
  5. Who made you smile today?
